I hate captchas!

Monday, June 30th, 2008

They make no sense. Adding friends on Myspace is a constant vision test designed to annoy. I don’t understand why the letters have to be all twisted and blurry? Do spambots have difficulty reading them this way? What about us regular people that just can’t see?

In the day and age of (insert internet dating site of choice) it is both smart and necessary to be procedural.

Procedural Dating Kit

Back in the day, before it was cool and accepted by society, I was a serial internet dater. If I had only had this Procedural Dating Kit, my life would have been much easier. It’s genius! Some might say it takes a little bit of the spontaneity out of dating… but really, aren’t we are all just trying to get from point a to point b?

There is a dating dossier section for keeping all the info straight when dating multiple people, including a section to jot down info gathered while internet stalking. And why bother talking about your intentions? Just give out a notice of exclusivity or non-exclusivity! A dating feedback card will help you improve performance on future dates. As for meeting people the old fashioned way (in a bar or club) there is a contact sheet that allows for a smooth exchange of information. A relationship résumé can end the awkward debate about having the dreaded “ex” discussion, and avoid an overshare. There is also a sexual release form that is quite helpful.

This kit almost makes me wish I was still single so I could be all OCD about it!

New Cappuccino Cups

Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

Nope, they are not made from plastic. This is a tower of 6 ceramic cups with really nice patterns on each, one for every guest you share coffee with. We loved the classic solid-colored tower-o-cups so much, we couldn’t resist adding these to the store as well.

Zen candle

Thanks to the thunderstorms of June, I find myself without power very often. This where my candle addiction comes in handy! Now normally I just buy candles because they match my apartment, or they smell yummy - but I have noticed I am hesitant to light them because eventually they will be no more. Sad.

Tonight, I lost electricity again. So I stumbled around and lit all the candles I could find. Power came back and I extinguished all the candles once again, but I kept my Zen candle lit. That candle smells so good I want to eat it. Seriously. It’s that good.

Thumbs Up!

handsoap

When we first saw these little hand soaps, literally, made by Foliage - we just needed to get our hands on them! They are handmade and come in a handy and pretty green bag. You get at least 10 individual hands, in different shapes, sizes and colors. We think they are perfect on a little tray sitting next to the sink. We love hearing comments from our guests when they are surprised to see them waving at them when they reach for the soap.

So, what is your opinion? Creepy? Cute? Still can’t decide, but either way you know you want them?
