One great wallet by Poketo

Monday, October 6th, 2008

Poketo wallets are bad ass!  They all feature unique designs by great artists like Catilina Estrada , Hannah Stouffer, Kate Bingaman, Akira Waiku, Maki, and others pictured below. They are made out of durable vinyl, have 3 card slots, a change holder, and a bill holder.  They are all limited edition and come with a matching pin.  They retail for $20 a piece, which is a small price to pay for a super cool piece of functional art!

Here are some examples of their awesomeness…

Bulletto

Mozzarella’s new boyfriend Bulletto is a tough one when it comes to providing protection for weak kids in the schoolyard. Legend claims that he used to be a bully himself, but switched sides after meeting his beloved Mozzarella. It was love at first sight, and now he runs with the nicer gang, The Moofia.
Bulletto carries a powerful shotgun and comes with two special bullet companions, too!

He is only $29.99 - stop by and pick one up so Mozzarella isn’t lonely anymore!

The Scavengers hunt is still on.

Kathie Olivas and MINDstyle toys have outdone themselves with the mini-figure series 1 of The Scavengers. The detail and coloring is amazing, and the box designed by Kathie Olivas and Rob Schwager is impressive. Every toy collector we know values the boxes almost as much as the toy itself, and this package design is perfecto. Each figure comes blind box packaged - carefully wrapped in bubble wrap… then in a black plastic bag… in a box with a magnetic closure… and then finally in an outer card sleeve. Wow. After opening thousands of toys for our own collections, we appreciate such a box that keeps the true collector in mind.

The 7 characters (6 + 1 chase) of The Scavengers series bring Olivas’ work to life, and allow everyone to own a small piece of her artwork. Get your hands on them while we still have them, as we don’t expect them to last long. We can’t wait for series 2!

The ratio of the figures is as follows:
3/15 Beaumont
3/15 Masao
3/15 Winston
3/15 Dexter
2/15 Aubrie
1/15 Nigel
??/?? Hazel (chase figure ~ only 300 made)

A moment of Zen

Zen candle

Thanks to the thunderstorms of June, I find myself without power very often. This where my candle addiction comes in handy! Now normally I just buy candles because they match my apartment, or they smell yummy - but I have noticed I am hesitant to light them because eventually they will be no more. Sad.

Tonight, I lost electricity again. So I stumbled around and lit all the candles I could find. Power came back and I extinguished all the candles once again, but I kept my Zen candle lit. That candle smells so good I want to eat it. Seriously. It’s that good.

Thumbs Up!

handsoap

When we first saw these little hand soaps, literally, made by Foliage - we just needed to get our hands on them! They are handmade and come in a handy and pretty green bag. You get at least 10 individual hands, in different shapes, sizes and colors. We think they are perfect on a little tray sitting next to the sink. We love hearing comments from our guests when they are surprised to see them waving at them when they reach for the soap.

So, what is your opinion? Creepy? Cute? Still can’t decide, but either way you know you want them?
